Gubi Olsen founded GUBI A/S along with his wife, Lisbeth Olsen, in 1967. Danish designer Olsen always tried expanding current design horizons and he did so with his designs by frequently experimenting in new directions. His style can be loosely described as post-modernistic seen through a global perspective. Gubi Olsen is greatly inspired by the Danish’ rich tradition of craft and furniture production. He also frequently referenced many historical characters such as Napoleon Bonaparte & a grand piano and French Cinema.
