Box Sofa

The Box is available in the following configurations: 2 seater sofa, 3 seater sofa and 4 seater sofa and above.

 

With regards to materials, this modern sofa is available in fabric or leather upholstery.

 

At just 5,5 cm, Box has ultra-slim armrests, which provide the proportional opportunity to make the back extra tall. This optimises the sitting position and serves as a sleek contrast to the sofa’s muscular body with thick upholstery in the back – as well as to Eilersen’s down seat cushions, featuring a foam core surrounded by down, giving the sofa a soft and smooth look. The back cushions are 100% down and combined with the seat cushions, it provides Eilersen’s well known comfort.

 

Box is available as a chair, sofa and sections with extra depth. The chair is available in two sizes: 70 x 97 cm and 119 x 97 cm. The sofa comes in three sizes: 180 x 97 cm, 190 x 97 cm, and 220 x 97 & 111 cm, respectively. The sofa sections are available with a depth of 97 cm and 111 cm and as left-hand and right-hand closing section either 120 cm or 140 cm wide. As an option, you can purchase lumbar support cushions in three sizes in 100% down, legs in metal or natural wood instead of black lacquered wood, wheels for the chair and removable cover. The Box series also includes a 60 x 100 cm stool.

Jens Juul Eilersen

Jens Juul Eilersen took over the management of the family’s small furniture factory in the early 1960s and has since created some of the most modern and popular sofas. When he was a kid in the 1940s, he spent many summer vacations in Funen, where the family factory, which his grandfather Niels Juul Eilersen had founded. Jens has a passionate interest in the objectives and proportions, and when he was not in the workshop, he sat and sketched. Instead of doing homework, he would draw figures of the furniture. In 1959, Jens hired to take care of the creative part of the furniture production of the family business.
