Montana Monterey is a versatile table and bench system with an array of possible functions. It can be used at home, for example, in the entrance, living room, study or children’s room. It is ideal for use in the workplace for exhibitions or displays in the store, hotel or elsewhere.
With 12 sizes and 3 heights, Montana Monterey is a concept with infinite functions and possibilities, that also complements the Montana shelving system.
Monterey is made of MDF in 42 lacquer colours. See Montana’s range of colours and allow yourself to be inspired. You can choose a cable grommet for your Monterey desk, or a shelf for the coffee table.
Monterey for kids and adults
A table whose clean lines enable it to adapt perfectly to many areas in the home, for example as dining table, work table or sideboard.
With 42 colours to choose from and the opportunity for storing toys in boxes on casters, Monterey is the natural choice for a child’s table.
Monterey as bench or side table
A simple seating solution in the entrance or bedroom, or perhaps combined with the Monterey dining table or children’s table. The Monterey box on casters can be pushed in under it and used as extra storage.
The perfect TV, coffee or side table. Add an extra shelf for magazines or electronic equipment if desired. Monterey at low height also functions especially well as a podium in exhibition spaces.
Material and Colours
Table/bench: 30 mm MDF.
Colours: 42 water-based lacquer colours.
Choice of heights: In whole centimetres, from 45-105 cm.
Supporting structure: Monterey in height 105 cm is available with two support rails with a height of 10 cm in 30 mm MDF. At lengths of 120, 140 and 160 cm, Monterey is equipped with a 4 cm-high supporting structure, which is mounted underneath the top in the middle.
Maximum load: Up to 100 kg.
Shelf: A 30 mm MDF shelf can be added to the Monterey unit.

Peter J. Lassen is the man behind Montana, whose simple and functional designs have become classics.
From a career as a naval officer, Peter J. Lassen switched to the furniture industry in 1954, and worked with the architects Arne Jacobsen, Jørn Utzon, Piet Hein and Verner Panton for many years. His association with these architects can be seen clearly in the clean lines of his design. He founded Montana Møbler A/S in Hårby, on the Danish island of Funen in 1982.
Besides the Montana system design, the business program Montana CO16, Monterey,
Skyline, Wardrobe, Bathroom and Sound Peter J. Lassen has worked with Joakim Lassen on the HiLow height-adjustable desks and the Multi Table collections, and with Andreas Hansen on the AP chair collection.
Peter J. Lassen is a member of the board for Montana Møbler A/S and, together with his son, Joakim Lassen, takes an active role in marketing and product development.
