Designed in 1963 by Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm, the FK64 Scimitar Chair is an icon of Danish steel modernism. Named after the curved blade of a scimitar sword, the chair is defined by its striking stainless-steel crescent base and a sculpted, fully upholstered seat that appears to float. The design represents a masterful balance of structural strength and visual lightness, emerging from the designers’ unique backgrounds in blacksmithing and cabinetry.
