This Hemp rug by Tanja Kirst originates from her master project Re: Thinking Hemp, which explores the creation of raw textile materials from sustainably cultivated hemp. Handwoven using Italian hemp yarn, each strand is composed of 50 fine threads spun together and bio-dyed to achieve rich, natural hues. The flat-weave construction and colour-and-weft effect create a dynamic pattern that subtly shifts with light and movement, offering a new visual experience each time the space is entered. Inspired by nature’s palette, the rugs balance artistry and sustainability. An underlay carpet is included, and the collection is available in a range of sizes.
