A 1950 icon that’s equal parts attitude and craftsmanship.
Designed by Børge Mogensen, the Hunting Chair is instantly recognisable thanks to its dramatic low profile and bold diagonal slope. The front edge of the seat sits just 30cm above the floor, giving it a grounded, relaxed posture that still makes a serious design statement.
Solid wood forms the frame, while the seat and back are made from vegetable tanned saddle leather, held by metal buckles and rugged belts. Beneath the leather, a canvas backing adds strength and structure. Cleverly, the saddle leather straps can be tightened over time, adapting as the hide softens and stretches with age.
