String Pocket is a compact, elegantly minimalist wall-mounted shelf that brings practical storage and Scandinavian design heritage into every room. Designed by Nisse Strinning in 2005 as his last contribution to the String portfolio, it builds on the lineage of the iconic String System while offering a complete shelving solution in a single unit. Each pocket includes two wall panels and three slim shelves, providing a tidy place for books, small objects, keys, or decorative items, all with a refined, architectural presence on your wall.
Available in an array of colourways and finish combinations, from monochrome tones to natural wood veneers, String Pocket invites creativity and personal expression. Multiple units can be combined vertically or horizontally to form larger compositions, so the shelf adapts to both tight spaces and larger walls with ease. In 2020 designers Anna von Schewen and Björn Dahlström introduced a metal interpretation, featuring perforated shelves that let you add rods or hooks for even more function.
