Nine Chapel in Downtown Brooklyn is a 14 story residential project created by Tankhouse with SO IL, featuring 27 modern apartments shaped by a strong architectural point of view. The building integrates sculptural pieces from Pierre Paulin’s Pacha Collection and lighting curated by GUBI, bringing a refined design language into every shared and private space.
Residents enter through open air terraces wrapped in gently folded perforated metal that filters light and creates a soft transition between indoors and outdoors. Inside, wide plank white oak floors, tall ceilings from nine feet upward, and expansive windows frame views of the city. GUBI has furnished the model residence and communal areas to support Tankhouse’s vision of flexible, meaningful urban living.
Natural materials and sculptural forms define the interiors, with pieces such as the Sejour Lounge Chair, the Timberline Floor Lamp, and the Pacha Seating Collection adding depth, tactility, and comfort. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to craftsmanship and longevity, offering spaces designed to remain relevant and resilient for decades.
