Nanna Ditzel

DENMARK (1923-2005)

Danish Designer Nanna Ditzel was a bold artist known for her postmodernism attitude and rebellion during the renewal of Danish Design in the 1990s. For most of her career, Ditzel’s work started rather subjectively and differed greatly from the specific problems that were required to be solved. However, through her unique and incredible capability, she was able to transform her artistic visions and produce practical and purposeful furniture designs.

With Fredericia, Ditzel first designed the Bench for Two but it was the iconic Trinidad Dining Chair that propelled Ditzel to fame and was regarded a breakthrough during its launch in 1993. This piece is still recognized as a modern classic to this day.
