Soborg Dining Chair

A Study In Scandinavian Elegance

Provides Endless Comfort; Both Steel & Wood Legs Are Available

The Soborg was Borge Mogensen’s competition entry in a competition held by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. For the design, the designer’s goal was to create a chair that can be produced industrially. In addition, he wanted to combine the plywood technique with his signature, which is functionalism with solid wood. The protoype was revealed in 1950.

Padding can be included. However, with or without it, the Soborg has been designed to provide endless hours of rest.

The Soborg Dining Chair is an iconic piece by Fredericia. It matches well with both the mid century originals from the 1950s and modern designs of today. This includes the Taro Dining Table and the Mesa Dining Table.

The Soborg Dining Chair is a Borge Mogensen masterpiece that is in line with Fredericia’s ethos, which is considered design that is not only visually appealing, but practical as well. As they only choose the best materials for construction, quality is far from a concern.
