Ox Lounge Chair

A Symphony in Scandinavian Design

Complex and Extravagant Upholstery; Masculine; Iconic Scandinavian Design

The Ox Lounge Chair truly needs no introductions. Designed by Hans J Wegner, this iconic lounge chair was also the designer’s favourite and was known to be displayed in his personal living room before Wegner passed on. On first look, the Ox Lounge Chair is a visual masterpiece – with sculptural and bold headrests, and a voluminous body lightly resting on an intricate steel base. Due to its unique design, the Ox Lounge Chair was a complex chair to upholster and only put into production years after Wegner first designed it.

The Ox Lounge Chair is a humorous yet graceful design and it is no wonder it is a highly favoured chair among many, including Wegner himself. Relax and unwind in the Ox Lounge Chair coupled with the beautiful leather-trimmed Adnet Coffee Table. Both leather-upholstered furniture designs are icons in the world of Scandinavian furniture. The feminine counterpart of the Ox Lounge Chair is the Queen Lounge Chair.
