Designed in 1954, the String Plex is a modular shelving system that features panels of clear laser cut perspex. This unique shelving solution allows the shelves to appear as if they are hovering above the ground, giving it a lighter appearance. One can easily add shelves, cabinets with sliding doors, separators and drawers as they please with the String Plex system.

String started when Nils and Kajsa Strinning designed the String shelving system in 1949 for a furniture design competition. String is all about being classic, timeless, Scandinavian-inspired and functional.
