Measure your living area precisely, including wall lengths, walkway clearance, and spacing around neighbouring furniture. For HDBs and condominiums, consider configurations that optimise flow, while larger residences can comfortably accommodate U-shape or L-shape sofas. Allow 80–100 cm of circulation space for ease and comfort.
Premium European leather offers longevity, a rich tactile feel, and a beautifully ageing patina. Nordic fabrics provide breathability, softness, and a relaxed aesthetic suited to Singapore’s warm climate. Both options are crafted to endure, and the right choice depends on your lifestyle and design preferences.
While often used interchangeably, sectional sofas typically come in fixed shapes, such as an L-shape with a predetermined chaise. Modular sofas consist of individual units that can be rearranged and expanded, offering significantly more flexibility over the long term. For households that anticipate evolving needs, modular designs provide the most adaptable investment.
Select between left- or right-facing chaises, corner modules, or larger U-shaped setups depending on your floor plan. Additional components, such as armless seats or ottomans, allow the sofa to grow with your space. This ensures long-term relevance and comfort.
Designer modular sofas use premium hardwood frames, high-resilience foams, hand-finished upholstery, and engineered support systems. These materials, combined with European labour standards and artisanal craftsmanship, create furniture built for decades of comfort, durability, and timeless style.
A modular sofa is a seating system built from individual units ,seats, backs, armrests, corner pieces, and chaise sections, that connect to form a single coherent piece. Unlike a standard fixed sofa that comes in one predetermined shape and size, a modular sofa is configured to your specific room dimensions and lifestyle requirements.
Danish Design Co carries modular sofas from Eilersen, Juul, Flexlux, and Fredericia. All of which are luxury Scandinavian brands, which you can see on display at our showroom.
The right configuration depends on your specific room dimensions and how the living room is used. For most Singapore one or two bedroom condominium apartments, a two-seater with chaise is the most practical configuration. For three bedroom condominiums and larger living rooms with an open-plan layout, an L-shaped corner configuration works well, defining the seating zone clearly and seating four to six people comfortably..
The right material depends on your household and how the sofa will be used daily. Full-grain and aniline leather perform well in Singapore’s air-conditioned interiors, developing a rich patina over time and softening gradually with use. In a household with young children or pets, a high-quality performance fabric with a high rub count is more practical.
Before configuring a modular sofa, measure the total length of the wall the sofa will sit against, the available depth between the sofa’s back and the opposite wall or furniture, and the width of all doorways and lift doors the sofa sections must pass through on delivery. Allow a minimum of 90 centimetres of clearance between the sofa edge and the coffee table, and at least 60 centimetres of walkway space between the coffee table and the opposite wall or unit.

Eclectic interior design is the considered mixing of pieces from different eras, design traditions, cultural origins, and material palettes within a single coherent interior. The word considered is not decorative.

Contemporary design means, precisely, design that is of the current moment. Unlike modernism, which refers to a specific design movement with defined characteristics that emerged in the early to mid
