Product Care for Painted- and Powder-Coated Metal Surfaces

A large number of Northern’s metal products are treated with strong paint, clear coat or powder coating. These surfaces are durable and require minimal cleaning and handling.

Daily Cleaning

Clean with a soft cotton cloth to wipe away dust or dirt.

Thorough Cleaning

If a deeper clean is required, moistened the cotton cloth with lukewarm water, always remove the residue with a dry cotton cloth.

Don’t apply strong cleaning agents as they may damage the painted or powder coated surface.

Environment factors such as humidity or dust can affect untreated brass or copper. Over time, untreated brass will develop a beautiful and unique patina that changes its colour tone.

The majority of Northern’s glass products are mouth-blown, which can cause some variations such as the thickness of the glass and small bubbles or swirls may occur. These are not defects but rather characteristics that make your glassware unique.

Daily Cleaning

  • Use a soft dry cloth for daily cleaning of glassware, you may use a glass cleaner with the cloth if necessary.
  • Always remove the residue with a dry cotton cloth.
  • Avoid strong cleaning agents as it may damage the surface of the glass.
