Product Care for Birch Surfaces – Natural and Stained

As wood is a living material, over time birch will evolve into a slightly different shape. Over time the grain of the birch embellishes, developing a beautiful patina that highlights the woodgrain. The stained models patina will be a slightly lighter tone.

General Care Information for Birch

  • Clean the birch veneer with a clean dry dusting brush.
  • If the material comes into contact with water or moisture, it will cause the wood to soften resulting in the veneer bending. Hence, do not expose the birch to water or moisture. When wet, the birch will stain and bend as water softens the fibre in the wood.
