Nicholai Wiig Hansen is a Danish designer that strongly believes in having the right proportions, opting to refrain from adding superfluous details when unnecessary or do not serve a functional purpose. He frequently designs with what he feels he himself and his target audience need.

Hansen seeks inspiration in his surrounding environments. Particularly art, food, nature and machinery seem to be the bulk source of his inspirations. Most of his furniture designs begin with conceptualizing the product from start to end in his mind before sketching and planning begin. He considers all the processes of producing his design carefully – production to crafting and down to the final stage of user-experience.

Hansen has collaborated with Normann Copenhagen to create the Tablo Table, My Table and My Chair.
