Danish product designer Simon Legald graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2012 and started his professional career designing both small and large scale products. Legald believes that honesty makes a product easily understandable and thus explain

s its functionality. He wants his designs to be purchased and used to not only fulfill functional needs but to also create emotional and aesthetic value to its user. To him, simplicity describes the product’s identity and exists to be what it is, making them genuine. Hence, he avoids adding superfluous details but instead emphasizes the innate beauty of his creations to give the design a simple yet genuine expressiveness.
