Swedish designer Johanna Forsberg is most recognized for her work in hand-shaping sculptures out of steel mesh. She constructed her first sculpture in 2001 and set up design studio Ateljé Johanna Forsberg a couple of years after. Today, she has clients worldwide.
Forsberg is inspired by people she meet on a daily basis, those she refer to as people who have an inner strength. Their ‘glow of power, both strong and weak’ was clearly a great inspiration for her famous Heat Pendant Lamp for Northern Lighting. This multidimensional lamp made of brass mesh is a bold and eye-catching furniture piece for furniture aficionados.
